As with the other shows in my portfolio, Mr Swing is not by any stretch of the imagination an original idea - but I always try and put a spin on it where I can. 
A show called "Mr Swing" will inevitably feature many of the classics from the swing-era, and will have to include songs popularised by the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin and others of that era. Add to that, many of the classic songs that have been arranged into the swing style for Michael Buble, Harry Connick Jnr, Rod Stewart and many others.
 
What I have done to try and differentiate my show from others is to also add a touch of jazz in the style of Jamie Cullum, Gregory Porter - as well as a few surprises.
 
I wouldn't go as far as to call this a full-on tribute show (mainly as I don't try to impersonate the individual singers - forgive me for saying "I do it My Way"!) but it is a show packed full of brilliant tunes, evoking the whole swing / jazz / Capitol era. 
 
As a new show, there are no proper video clips available as yet, but during the 2020 lockdown I did a show "live from my living room" featuring many of the songs that ended up in this show.
